We let the coldest part of winter pass, and on a nicer looking weekend in mid-January, decided to take the next steps along our hike. We did an in an out hike starting at the parking lot at 15B, and going back to 14E. We took a couple side paths to avoid the walk being identical both ways which was good (ok, one was a mis-turn as a result of a poorly labelled…turn lol).
We didnt see any signs of recent other people once we got past the part closest to the parking lot, so it was a quiet walk. Not the coldest day, we were comfortable with an added base layer and lighter winter jackets.
Next time, we will start here again and walk through the rest of the forest – looking forward to being done with this section (too boggy, very flat!).
We drove up the road to North Gower and had pizza and garlic bread from North Gower Pizza. Amazing choice! This is a great pizza place….they have OUTSTANDING garlic sauce, do not sleep on this. We 1000% want to try non-pizza menu items that looked and sounded delicious as other orders came in. 10/10 we will be back. Did I mention the garlic sauce? The owner wisely brought us 2 servings so we didn’t have to share just one :p
