Last year, we planted a hydrangea and black thumbed it – “someone” bought it, and didn’t plant it for literally months, and by the time “someone else” snapped and planted it, it was super root bound, super hot, and already showing a lot of death signs (no flowers/buds, brown/crispy leaves etc). It didn’t make it through the winter. We replaced it with Hans – he was $45 and came with a one year guarantee so hopefully he makes it. We planted him where the Carol Mackie Daphne was (another plant that didn’t make it through winter 🙁 ) instead of the vacant Hydrangea hole.
