After the death of Cherry Baby, my Rainier cherry tree planted in 2019, I knew Id find a replacement for the same spot. I wanted a sweet cherry that Cherry Daddy could pollenate, and settled on a Van. Took me a couple weeks to find one – Bings all around, and apparently the combination cherry tree is popular this year.
Van the Man had a number of blossoms opening when I planted him earlier in May, and hey – looks like some tiny baby cherries are growing…I expect these will abort but happy to see them anyways!
